Are you afraid of sharks?

I never knew sharks were that scary until I saw one up close. Today, I was at the San Francisco Aquarium with my friends. My back was face to the tank, and when I turned around, there it was. Staring at me. Its eyes and sharp teeth startled me. I started to scream. I've never screamed so loud in public before. I will never, ever visit any aquarium again.

um, i've never really met a shark, so i can't say for sure. i think i would be freaked out, though

Reply:Yes. I should be. They are wild animals and - while I KNOW they are not "dangerous" - they can cause great to harm me if I put myself in situation to make them want to eat me.

Reply:Ever since I saw "Jaws" when I was little I've been terrified of sharks. Even in the bathtub and the pool. I was scared of invisible sharks! I But now as an adult, I live a few minutes from the beach and I don't like going more than a foot or two into the water.
Reply:OMG YES I AM TERRIFIED EVER SINCE I SAW "JAWS" IT SCARED ME WITH ALL THAT GUTS AND STUFF AND SHARKS EATING PEOPLE....OMG I HATE AND AM TERRIFIED OF SHARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... (I'M EVEN AFRAID OF GOING TO THE BEACH THIS COMING SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY POOLS!)
