If God made us, how come we get toothache?

I mean, if intelligent design is true, then it doesn't seem very intelligent to make people so sensitive in non-essential parts of their body, like their teeth and under their nails...and leave vital parts like their brain without sensation. Wouldn't it be more intelligent to give us teeth like sharks, that grow after the old ones fall out, rather than giving us only two sets?





And if evolution is true, how come we still only get two sets of teeth, and painful ones at that, after all those centuries of the survival of the fittest? What on earth is the evolutionary advantage conferred by toothache? I mean I can understand why your finger feels pain--so you won't leave it in the fire or whatever. But your teeth?





Maybe they're both wrong--the theists and the evolutionists-- and it was aliens who started the whole thing (ones with a perverted sense of humor perhaps...)

If God made us, how come we get toothache?
A toothache is one of the many signs that we are living too long. All this 'science' (he said, making quotation marks in the air) has allowed us to live for so long, and look at the problems it creates! (hunger, pollution, bad drivers, blue hair, etc.)





All kids should be taught Intelligent Design and not evolution. This will teach them that science is wrong, and evidence is NOT to be believed.





Then in about 20 years, when there are more people and especially more old people, but there are no scientitsts to figure how to solve the problems, the human race will implode and the average lifepsan will decrease significantly, and two sets of teeth will be plenty!





At this time a shark-human hybrid species will take over, because they have unlimited teeth!

Reply:Well, evolution is a process... no-one's claiming that it's reached the pinnacle yet, and there are elements of the body that don't confer any advantage - the appendix and the vestigial tail, to name but two.





But the evolutionary advantage of toothache is the same as the evolutionary advantage of any other kind of pain - to warn us that the body's in danger.

Reply:WOW! Aliens made us! OK, so if you believe that god made us, then you also know that god created many other animals, and each of them received a unique characteristic. Humans weren't made to be all powerful and all, we have some bad qualities in us and some good ones. I mean if god rele wanted us to be like the supreme ones he could have given us a shell like a turtle so we'd never get hurt and all, but that didn't happen cause we got smart brains (at least some of us, jk lol), hearing, eyes and many other millions of things that he didn't give other animals.





And if you believe in evolution, some believe that we used to have two sets of teeth, but since we didn't need them anymore (they weren't getting worn out by plant eating and other reasons) we evolved to have only one set of teeth. And teeth aren't painful, unless you don't take care of them. Maybe the fact that you're having a toothache alerts you that you have a very unhealthy diet and you need to stop eating the sugars. Our teeth are sensitive because they tell you if something's gonna burn your tongue or give you a brain freeze and you rele don't want that.

Reply:God created you in His Image. But, the rest is on you!! God also gave us "Free-Will" to do or not do what He commands us to do or not do. Such as brushing your teeth!! Or making sure to get your 6 month check-ups with the dentists!! Or to make sure you dont stick those nail cleaners up too far into your nail. Do You understand now? I surely do hope so, becuase if God did everything for us, we'd all be "Robotic" and what kind of fun would that be for us?!!! Not fun at all, so this is why we do feel Pain, because Eve ate the apple, and so God in turn told her she would now begin a lifetime of feeling pain in labor, and that they both had to feel shame, and be casted out of the Beautiful "Garden of Eden!!" For listening to the serpent!! And the serpent had to crawl around on his belly all of the days of his life, for listening to Satan, God told the serpent, this was his punishment!! So, apparently the snake once had legs!! Now they dont because of what they did by allowing Satan to work through them in the Garden of Eden, and convincing her to eat the forbidden apple!!! So, the rest is history!!! Pain and all, sorry to say, but it is written in the Bible!! Try to read one, but first ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit, so you can better understand it all, I had to do this, and God answered my prayers, and now I totally understand the bible much better than before I asked Him to fill me with the Holy Spirit!! Pretty cool, hoh!! Sorry you have pain in your tooth. Pray about it, and ask God to make it either affordable for you to see a dentist, or to take the pain away for you!! Or both!! Reply:First of all,GOD IS REAL!!! he did make us and the world,you should never doubt that. he made us perfect, satin is the reason for all the bad things on earth.he made things a certain way,and has a plan for everyone and everything. you should always trust that god is perfect, and that he would never hurt us. he died on a cross and rose again for us ,and that shows a lot of love!!! Wait let me finish god made Adam and Eve perfect until Satan came around and tempted Adam and Eve so they would eat from the forbidden tree and after they ate the fruit their mind was altered to think like we think today. They realized they were naked and were ashamed of it they were trying to hide so god would not see them but god sees everyone so it wasn't very hard for god to find Adam and Eve so he knew were they both were but he decided to play dumb and pretend that he did not know were they were calling out for them and you know like when you play hide and seek and somehow you know were the other person hid and you play dumb walking around that area calling out for them and acting like you donut know were they are anyway after a couple minuets when they failed to answer god cast them out from the trees and asked "did you eat from that tree I said not to eat from" even though he knew the answer he asked them any way to see what they said and to gods surprise they lied and said no that they had not eaten from the forbidden tree god asked again to make sure he had heard right and after he mad sure he told Adam and eve the truth was that he knew that they had eaten from the tree and then Adam and eve burst into tears admitting to their wrong doing and explained that Satan had tempted them to eat from the tree and Satan and god have been fighting ever since.

Reply:Just think about evolution for one second. Now we have 2 sets of teeth, the second set are supposed to last us for a good, say 50 years to be pessimistic. Now before the age of 50 we are expected to have had kids and therefore passed on our genetic material and any advantages it may have acquired due to chance mutations. Where is the problem then with having only 2 sets? Now if we only had 1 set that fell out at the age of 1 then we'd be in trouble! Tooth ache has evolved to tell us there is a problem with our teeth, we either need to take care of them, or lose the tooth before an infection spreads throughout our body and killing us. Simple. So a tooth ache, or 2 sets of teeth poses no problem to the theory of evolution. We know that the second permanent teeth last long enough so that we are able to reproduce before they fall out and we can no longer chew food.


Creationism however, well thats just a joke, not even worth the time arguing against.
Reply:First of all scientist just like to make excuses and come up with theories that prove things. We didn't evolve from sharks and what confuses me is that we apparently evolved from apes but if we came from apes why do apes still exist. And our closest DNA relative in the rat. Maybe you should brush you teeth more often. God helps those who help themselves.
